About Me
I have always been interested in the natural world. From a young age I was exposed to the outdoors and developed a strong appreciation for the world around us. When I was ~10 years old, I was canoeing in the Adirondak Mountains of New York and a Common Loon surfaced next to my canoe. From that moment on I was hooked on birds. Over the years, I have honed my craft enjoying, studying, photographing, and conserving birds. I am blessed to be able to turn my childhood passion into a career. I currently work for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service focusing on national bird conservation issues and policy. When not working, I spend my time with my family and chasing birds around the country and foriegn lands. I rarely travel without my binoculars and my camera recording my adventures for others to enjoy.
